Miss P.M. became the first Asian woman to ever spin some mean techno in Dubai.

Back in Manila, Miss P.M. has indulged in different kinds of music; Rock & Roll, Jazz, Blues, World Music and Tribal music to name a few. It was in 2005 when she was able to travel the world, discover the underground scene in Europe and fell in love with Techno music… and boy she fell hard. She frequented clubs in Zurich, Frankfurt and Berlin where she got inspired and learned her tech-education.

Her interest in many kinds of music became her groundwork in spinning her style of minimal techno that is funky, groovy, hardcore, sexy, crisp & with lots of bass too. Every set she play are inspired by the variety of music influence and love for percussions and bass. You will hear all these elements in all the tracks the she carefully thread together. The greatest techno influences for Miss P.M. are Richie Hawtin, Magda, Ricardo Villalobos & Ellen Alien.

Miss P.M. started DJing regularly in Dubai in 2008, alongside respected Filipino DJs from Switch at clubs Warehouse and Alpha. She was also managed by 22.10 Entertainment based in Dubai with other female DJs from the UK and Germany. Under this management she was able to do several gigs for clubs and events. She never fails to surprise her audience with her great taste in music and style, substantially, there aren’t many female DJs in the region more so a tiny Asian girl who plays mean techno.

Due to a relatively small underground techno scene in Dubai back then, Miss P.M. was fixed on creating her own club night that would cater to true techno and underground music followers, therefore she launched the “Off-the-Cuff Project” at Alpha Club and played alongside respected locally based techno DJs from UK Daniel Price and Edsel Fernandes.

Miss P.M. is well supported by the pioneers of the Dubai scene, accommodating and playing for international/expat audience. These days she is inspired with the increasing niche coming to Dubai’s techno parties and support for respected international techno DJs coming to perform in Dubai such as Carl Craig, Dubfire, Marco Bailey, Marco Carola, Anja Schneider, etc.

Miss P.M. aims to participate in the scene more, time permitting, due to hectic schedule. Traveling, spinning gigs & studying online take up most of her time for now up to this point. A podcast for Glitch Radio is also underway and other gigs lined up for June onwards.
